Hoarseness is a condition that occurs when a pirate sends more than 3 messages in 10 seconds in most places. When it occurs to a pirate, they will be silenced for a small amount of time. It only occurs when using the speak channel, and only applies to it. Building managers that are in their own buildings are immune to it. When one's voice becomes hoarse one is presented with the message "Arr, yer throat is hoarce from all yer talking. Slow down.".
