Vernal Equinox is a medium island located in the Sapphire Archipelago. There is one known route from the island: Iris Island. There is also an extinct route to Verdant Atoll.

History

On 2005-04-20, the Ringers placed a market on Vernal Equinox.

Vernal I - 2006-04-22, Moonlighting defeated Klingon Empire, Notorious Fandango, and Don't Panic in a three round sinking blockade to colonize the island.

2007-10-01, Blood and Roses split away from Moonlighting, taking control of Vernal Equinox at the same time.

Vernal II - 2010-11-06, Tyr's Own defeated Blood and Roses in a three round non-sinking blockade to become the first flag on Midnight to simultaneously control six islands. Blood and Roses did not defend.

Vernal III - 2010-12-04, The Terrors of Midnight defeated Tyr's Own in a three round non-sinking blockade to take control of the island.

2011-04-30 (approximately), Dark Passion takes control of the island. There is no blockade, and no formal notice of transfer. It appears that The Terrors of Midnight merged into Dark Passion, and the Ocean Masters allowed them to take control of the island with them. ^[1]

Vernal IV - 2011-05-07, the Brigand King The Widow Queen defeated Dark Passion in a three round blockade to take control of the island.

Vernal V - 2011-05-15, Bipolar defeated The Widow Queen and Capsized in a five round blockade to take control of the island.

2011-06-14, Bipolar transferred control of Vernal Equinox to Booching Blaggards.^[2]
