Hunter carting

So who's heading it, aka, making a crew and such? I know of several people waiting for the crew to be made. Rappak 07:48, 21 April 2006 (PDT)

Many thanks.

Yaten, thanks for expanding the royalty page! You're a doll. --Eurydice 21:32, 29 September 2005 (PDT)

Response to warning

Dear Yaten, I was not making inappropriate edits. it was Leekh4.

Thanks

You blanked an entire article. If that's not inappropriate, I don't know what is. --Thunderbird 08:13, 6 October 2005 (PDT)

Anberline's pirate article deletion

Anberline used to be the captain of Admiral of the Black (formerly known as Pirates of WarTown). The deletion log message doesn't give much of a view of what the article had, so I can't tell if the article was blank or not. Just thought I'd mention that. --Thunderbird 14:19, 7 October 2005 (PDT)

The article content was "hello," which you can see by viewing the revision history at Special:Undelete/Anberline. – Yaten talk 15:07, 7 October 2005 (PDT)

Shoppe/stall time estimates

Hi, Yaten,

I'm just checking to see whether I missed something--I can't find a page that explains shoppe/stall time estimates for purchases, or even an explanation of the purchase interface. If it's there and I'm not seeing it, please smack me with a dead fish (or point me to the page, even).

Thanks, Eury

I think you're right—I'm not spotting one either. I'm not sure where something like that would go, but the ordering interface probably deserves its own page. There's also a disambig needed for order, I imagine. – Yaten talk 21:31, 13 October 2005 (PDT)
I wish I were better about remembering to sign my name after I post something. Heh. Ok, thanks, Yaten! --Eurydice 08:40, 14 October 2005 (PDT)

Island images

I need copies of all the Ice and Sage island images re-uploaded with (<ocean>) attached. Got some free time? --Barrister 12:16, 14 October 2005 (PDT)

I should have some time this weekend. Doing some xml research on building scenes revals the actual names for several house rooms, also. We may want to conver those, too. – Yaten talk 15:20, 14 October 2005 (PDT)
Done and done. – Yaten talk 10:17, 15 October 2005 (PDT)
Thanks very much! --Barrister 20:12, 15 October 2005 (PDT)

Thanks for the help!

But I need a little more. If I want to add a counter to the infobox for a crew (in this case, Stygian Wind) so that it says "Members: 46" how do I do that? I copied the format for the other entries in the box, but it didn't post.

Thanks again. -Geddysciple

Promoted?

I never did that on the other pages, can you fix it? :) Pretty please. --Guppymomma 19:10, 25 October 2005 (PDT)

Hehe. Done. – Yaten talk 19:24, 25 October 2005 (PDT)

Bot

I've temporarily assigned myself as a bot, to avoid flooding the recent changes when finishing the category for {{inventory image}} (Usage). Don't be worried! ;) – Yaten talk 19:51, 2 November 2005 (PST)

Duplicated points on the Sage mem map

I was putting my own version of the Sage map up, and found two duplicated points on yours: 35|71 and 19|47. There's a third, but I don't know where at this time (turning all the points to gray, then to brown again yields 355 replacements of gray-brown). (EDIT)And after double-checking, the third duplicated point is one of the ones on my memory, as a replacement of the brown points to something else yields 106 replacements, but I only have 105 points.--Thunderbird 23:06, 10 November 2005 (PST)

I caught the extra 19|47, but Notepad is only finding one instance of 35|71. Typo? – Yaten talk 06:37, 11 November 2005 (PST)~
Looks like I was thinking of 33|65. --Thunderbird 10:11, 11 November 2005 (PST)

Use the show preview instead of just posting? No kidding!

Apologies, but it was my first time editing. Most of the individual saves I made were because I found a feature (headlines, infobox, etc) that I hadn't found in the previous edit. There were a few instances where I hit the wrong button, but still.

I mean, really. I'm not stupid.

Prop Counts

I can help you out on Midnight with all three ship types. I'm afraid we've gone delete crazy with the props at the weavery and the furnisher stall or I could help there too. :/ Zava 19:18, 4 December 2005 (PST)

Rockin'. I think Barrister actually collected the prop lists for the big ships; I pretty much just need the XMLs for those. – Yaten talk 19:41, 4 December 2005 (PST)

reverting a edit?

all i did was change the spelling to be an actual word...

Copying your Sage map

I decided to have a map of my memmations in Sage, as a way for my crew to see what I got memmed (not much, but it'd be much easier to direct to a map than to say "I got all of Basset - Wensleydale, half of Kent - Bryher..." etc). I figured that it won't be a problem if I copy the template and just edit the colors and such, but new and inexisting league points started popping up. I saw your map, which required only color alteration on my end, and so was less prone to glitches, and decided to use it. After saving the page, though, I realized maybe I should ask for your permission.

I'll admit though, I'm using yours from sheer lazyness, I could build my own if you'd rather that. Nuckabor 14:41, 28 December 2005 (PST)

No problem at all. My Midnight map was actually done mostly by Thunderbird, and there's a small box at the bottom of my user page that says I agree to "release all of my contributions to YPPedia, including everything on this user page and all of its subpages, into the public domain." – Yaten talk 16:16, 28 December 2005 (PST)

Black Sheep redirect notice from Animal

If you type Black Sheep in the Search box, it heads to Black sheep, which redirects to Animal. So I don't think that revert was a good idea ;). --Thunderbird 20:45, 29 December 2005 (PST)

Eieio partially colonized?

Hey Yaten, I was wondering about that partially colonized on Eieio Island. Also, I corrected the name of the governor. On the page about Ice Ocean I changed the text paragraph about foraging, as it was really not up to date. So, when is Eieio fully colonized? Do I need to build more stuff? :p

--Lionizer 13:04, 2 January 2006 (PST)

Well.... we might be building a few more houses or shoppes sometime in the future.. but for now, we're done building. Did you remove the "partially" already? I'll check, and if you didn't, then I will :D I'll steal your user-page layout and memming maps as soon as I get around to it.. Just got my new laptop, so I have other things to attend to first :p

--Lionizer 14:05, 4 January 2006 (PST)

im sorry

Im really sorry about that, Yaten. I honestly didn't know what i was doing, im totally new to this. Won't happen again.

- Shifty_eyes

I'm not Yaten, but I wanted to say that I like the cleanup work that you did on Ookville. That page went from being really rough to looking like a real article very quickly. --AtteSmythe 07:50, 10 January 2006 (PST)

Talk:Event_E2/Proposal_Shikyo

im not sure about this but i still labled it as needing to be in third person... since yer an admin here can you tell me if Talk:Event_E2/Proposal_Shikyo needs to be in third person?

Just thought you'd find this funny if you didn't see it already

From a /. post about an article: 'For most of [the antivirus vendors], this is like Esperanto: You can speak it if you want to, but everyone else is going to carry on babbling in their own native tongue, so it doesn't really matter.' --Guppymomma 16:51, 3 February 2006 (PST)

Heh, that's fun. --Yaten talk 20:04, 4 February 2006 (PST)

Mem request for Sage

Can you help me mem Cook to Kashgar? I know that you usually offer your services for free, but I'd be willing to pay for this one  :)

I'm usually online, look for Tobrino.

Thanks!

Out of the Ordinary

Please note that the orginal spelling of the crew was "Out of the ordinary" but was changed to "Out of the Ordinary" about an hour after my writing of the Article was done. Sorry for any inconvinince this message might have caused you.~983941 aka: Baulder

None at all. --Yaten talk 10:18, 12 February 2006 (PST)

User page template?

Because it's late and I can't figure it out... is there a specific template-y thing you use for your user page? I ask because a) it intrigues me, and b) I wanted one. >.>

If it is one, any way to get hold of it?

Thanks! --Gloraelin 01:27, 24 February 2006 (PST)

Would you mind if I made this into a template, it is not a bad idea! --pevarnj (t/c) 11:33, 24 February 2006 (PST)
I finished making it (I think). Template is currently (temporarily) on user:pevarnj/sandbox. Will you please look it over. I have an example of its use on my user page. --pevarnj (t/c) 15:05, 27 February 2006 (PST)
Looks good to me. Thanks! --Yaten talk 15:40, 27 February 2006 (PST)

"Existing Tutorials"

You deleted a Treasure Drop tutorial a few hours ago with a random name. Normally I'd agree that it was a CSD, but in this instance I think it was an entry to the Tutorial Contest. I'm talking with Astrolabe in PMs to set up categories and a namespace for it, and it should be easier to keep entries from truly useless articles in future. Either way. --Teeg 10:10, 1 March 2006 (PST)

Thanks for taking up the gauntlet on guiding the contest toward naming things properly. I do agree that a special image tag would be helpful marking things as being used for that contest. --Guppymomma 11:13, 1 March 2006 (PST)

Nav help

I see ye offer mem tips in nav, but do ye offer duty Navigation tips? If ye do, then ye can find me on viridian as undeadfish (udf). Thank ye!

Psst! They're not trinkets....

Delete & reupload time... --Guppymomma 13:56, 30 March 2006 (PST)

You said to me: Ahoy! Category:Duty Puzzles is a subcategory of Category:Puzzles. We use subcategories for better organization. In a similar manner, Category:Midnight Ocean islands is a subcategory of Category:Islands. I've reverted your changes to the duty puzzle pages.

Re: Categories

If you look at Categories:Puzzles you see Bilging_tutorial but not Bilging. This seems dumb. Especially since the main page links to Puzzles. If you're new to the game, you might find your way to YPPedia->Puzzles->Bilging, but I feel like YPPEdia->Puzzles->Duty Puzzles->Bilging is too many levels deep just to find info about a puzzle. It's not like the Puzzles category is full or anything, it contains links to three subcategories and then a handful of articles about puzzles (and no puzzles).

If you want to keep the category system super-structured (and thus super unintuitive) perhaps you should move those tutorials into Categories:Puzzles:Tutorials or similar. --Petree 14:07, 12 April 2006 (PST)

hunter

Chachapoya and Quetzal are island names, not archipelagos. I'm going to nuke the pages until we get the full names. --Barrister 23:42, 13 April 2006 (PDT)

Memming counts

Don't forget Viridian and Cobalt have 336 LPs, not 301 ;). --Thunderbird 21:14, 15 April 2006 (PDT)

Heh, edit first and check later, eh? Thanks; not sure why I was thinking they both had 301. --Yaten talk 21:18, 15 April 2006 (PDT)

Uploading

How do I upload images? I've tried searching but I sort of lost my self on the way. Thank you in advance. --Kinocha 19:34, 4 June 2006 (PDT)

There is a dispute which needs your attention. --Emufarmers 13:55, 10 June 2006 (PDT)

Re:

May I ask you a question in relation to pirate name retrieval?

Pronunciation

Er, I'm not good with those fancy phonetics: Is it "yah-ten," or "yay-ten"? (I've always pronounced it the former way in my head.) --Emufarmers 21:30, 20 June 2006 (PDT)

I've always said yay-ten. --Featherfin 05:17, 21 June 2006 (PDT)
I've always said yah-ten! --AtteSmythe 11:54, 22 June 2006 (PDT)
