atteSmythe has had a long and varied career in Puzzle Pirates, starting on Azure and continuing on to Midnight.

Originally joining up during the first Penny Arcade rush at the opening of public Beta, 'Smythe rode the ranks from lowly pirate to king of Silver Dawn. After leaving SD, atteSmythe took up an advisory role in Notorious Fandango, until Annesatsu made him her successor to the throne. He was a very active forum^[1] contributor.

Though highly self-critical, he still believes he has done more good than harm over the years.

Controversy!

I sometimes place far too much faith in myself, and sometimes far too little. In between, I think I probably do my best work. But at the extremes, things can get heated.

• I apparently made the second-ever thread with a naughty word at Looterati's forums. They forgave me. I can't even remember what it was about.
• I've been mentioned in a slashdot comment as a reason not to play Puzzle Pirates
• I have been (incorrectly) charged with conspiracy and high treason against my own flag (but with good reason)
• I seem to have helped stir up a hornet's nest with the YPPedia:Vanity guidelines
• I am a big meanyhead, and apprentice arrogant elitist
• I am exactly what's wrong with the forums
