Magpie VI

I'm told the BK strength was only 4, not 5. --Thunderbird 03:14, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

No, it was definitely five. I found another screenshot from three hours before it started. (Did someone from CiS say it was four? It was at four when they got around to entering...) --Budclare2 04:36, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Loggerhead blockade record

Considering that Loggerhead is currently in Barnabas's hands, we are either missing a blockade record or someone has provided false records. How do we wish to proceed? (Mew4ever23 12:02, 21 July 2018 (UTC))

Loggerhead was taken by barny sunday, 2018-07-08. See obsidian_island_flag. This file was generated by a program I wrote that scrapes the yoweb island data early every morning. In this case, the change wasn't detected until monday, so the blockade must have happened on sunday. yoweb doesn't say what flags participated, what the scores were, etc. It won't detect failed blockades, only ones where the island changed hands. Some yapping with my crew, and I'm told that the island was scuttled and not defended. --Thunderbird 18:18, 21 July 2018 (UTC)

OM closed blockades

Just a note, the OMs close blockades by adding three rounds to the defender, to ensure that it is impossible for a contender to win. I don't know why they don't just terminate the blockade itself (I'm assuming either they can't, or it could potentially cause issues so it's better to just amp the defender score). In other cases (a couple on Cerulean come to mind), I wrote down what the scores were prior to the blockade being closed and nobody seemed to say anything about it. But I wouldn't say it's booched, since the OMs add the rounds directly to the score. --Thunderbird 02:52, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

Interesting... :) --Budclare2 02:58, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
That's probably what happened during Magpie XI, too, but I wasn't online for that one. I just had to go with what I was told. Urgh. --Budclare2 03:03, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

Anole or Anole Garden?

I noticed in the overview Anole Garden (in-game name) is called Anole. Shouldn't it be Anole Garden? --Scrappy 10:50, 26 August 2018 (UTC)

Not necessarily. The histories typically reduce such islands to one word (eg, Prolix on Cerulean). --Thunderbird 16:21, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
Ah, okay :) --Scrappy 18:16, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
