History

Sirius Island was originally located on the Hunter Ocean. A rock in the northeast corner of the island reads, "This island were fashioned by Yngvild."

Sirius Island is likely named for Sirius (Alpha Canis Majoris), the brightest star in the sky and a part of Canis Major.
