The Frost class sloop is a limited edition ship that was available from shipyards in December 2009 and again in January 2022. Unlike most limited edition sloops, its construction is identical to a normal sloop, though the Frost class sloop is covered with snow and ice year-round.

Frost class ships will have one of the following adjectives in their name: Arctic, Bitter, Bleak, Brisk, Chilly, Cold-blooded, Crisp, Frigid, Frost-bound, Frostbitten, Frosted, Frosty, Frozen, Glacial, Icy, Nippy, Numbing, Polar, Shivering, Snowy, or Wintry. Frost class sloops delivered before release 2010-01-20 did not have special adjectives attached.

There are two Frost class ships, at this time: the sloop and the longship. Both share the same group of adjectives for their randomly-assigned names when delivered, and both share the same decorative motif. However, the sloop is a limited edition ship, whereas the longship can be ordered any any time (provided the customer has the requisite design).

Rooms and furnishings

A Frost class sloop has three scenes: the crow's nest, the main deck, and the main hold.

The total paint required to recolor a Frost class sloop is 131 units. The ship does not come pre-painted at all (or, equivalently, it comes pre-painted entirely in tan).
